2012 Fall Cleanup Volunteers

2012 Fall Cleanup Volunteers

On the morning of Saturday November 3rd, 13 wonderful neighborhood volunteers came to Aldercrest Annex and trimmed weeds along the fence line, removed all of the plants growing in the tennis courts, and picked up trash.  We are very grateful to our volunteers! The impact of their work is amazing - it transformed the tennis courts and made the park’s street front on 25th Ave look clean, controlled and showed that our neighborhood really cares for the park!

Our next park clean-up will be in Spring 2013.  We hope more volunteers will join our efforts to keep the park looking good and show a continued commitment to having a park in our neighborhood.

Public Input to the Parks, Rec, and Open Space Plan (PROS), City of Shoreline

The City is beginning the process of updating the 2005-Adopted PROS Plan. The PROS is a strategic planning document that will carry the framework for guiding decisions about the future of the City’s parks, recreational and cultural programs. It represents the citizen’s long range vision and captures how the city will meet future community needs. The PROS plan is a vital document qualifying Shoreline’s parks for grant funding.

Parks, open space, recreation and cultural programs are key elements of a community’s quality of life.  It is important that the City hears from you!

Public sessions: October 5 & 14, 7- 9 PM at Shoreline City Hall
Session for Organizations: September 28 & October 19, 7 - 9 PM at Shoreline City Hall
