Join us at the Celebrate Shoreline Parade and Festival Saturday, August 21!
We need volunteers to walk in the Celebrate Shoreline Parade. Parade participants collect at 11 am and the parade starts at 12 noon.
We will be wearing green shirts with brown/kaki pants with a head band of leaves (idea is to look like trees). We will have a banner with “Keep public lands in public hands, preserve Aldercrest Annex as our park” to promote parks and Aldercrest Annex as a park.
For the kids that will be walking in the parade with us, we will have a bucket of bubbles so the kids can make big bubbles. We will be handing out candy and carrying a couple signs.

The City of Shoreline has formed the Aldercrest Annex park effort task force and has arranged the first meeting to be August 18. The goal of the task force is to consider the options for acquiring Aldercrest Annex as a park and study the details of Friends of Aldercrest proposal.
